Moral Issues of Our DayPolluting Our Environment

POLLUTING OUR ENVIRONMENT

We spend millions of dollars on emission control to keep from polluting our environment.  We put scrubbers on smoke-stacks, pass laws requiring every automobile to have a catalytic converter, require water purification systems for cities, regulate smoking areas, ban burning, decry the cutting of rain forests and enforce laws for littering.  Americans are concerned about environmental pollution.

But there is another form of pollution that is destroying our nation - pollution of our moral environment.  I'm far more concerned about this pollution than all the others combined.

Every form of immorality known to man is taking center stage in our society.  My children are bombarded with immoral, vulgar talk and acts every day at school.  Some of it is from some of their teachers!  A decent movie is almost a thing of the past. Even Disney now defends their "right" to make immoral movies.  There is no perverted act that every ten-year-old child in America has not seen on television.  Our children have been robbed of any "age of innocence."  Elementary children are being taught about homosexual perversion and are being graphically instructed about the details of practicing "safe sex."  And you tell me that immorality is "the business of only those who are involved”?  That's a lie.  Even if you do believe it... it's still a lie.

It is either the ultimate ignorance or the ultimate hypocrisy to fight environmental pollution and ignore the worse pollution of all - the pollution of our minds!  An alarming number of our population cannot have a single pure thought.  Our nation is becoming addicted to immorality.  It is consuming us.

 Who cares?  I do!

It's time... no, it's past time... that we demand that our churches, our schools, our entertainers and our government officials stop the pollution!  It's not enough to shake our heads and talk about the sad condition of our nation.  It's time for us to repent if we have been involved in immorality and reinstate a moral standard based on God's word.  Let's quit defending immorality.

Our society is getting sicker and sicker.  God is the Healer.
